Bunker Beach Water Park, located in the Anoka County Parks System, currently has an opening for a Seasonal Facility Caretaker. Our seasonal Bunker Beach staff enjoy an energetic, positive work atmosphere. Come have some fun and work at the most talked about water park in the North Metro!

The employment period for the Seasonal Facility Caretaker is mid-May through Labor Day.

Spend your summer helping operations run smoothly and efficiently at Bunker Beach! The Seasonal Facility Caretaker position will serve in a public relations capacity and will perform a variety of daily maintenance activities at the Bunker Beach facility. You will help ensure that Bunker Beach facility is clean, safe and mechanically ready for users.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Portray a positive image of the county to the public, specifically Bunker Beach guests, while performing maintenance duties.

  • Perform a variety of maintenance/upkeep tasks, while keeping a positive attitude.

  • Be neatly groomed and willing to wear/maintain a Bunker Beach uniform.

  • Be willing to work as a team member with all water park employees.

  • Communicate with all supervisory personnel regarding janitorial and cleaning duties.

  • Be willing to use all safety procedures and safety equipment when performing a variety of tasks.

  • Communicate with the public; answer questions and assist guests.

  • Ensure Bunker Beach is clean/safe and complete required maintenance duties are done in a professional manner.

  • Perform variety of janitorial duties.

  • Assist in other areas as assigned by supervisor.

  • Have a general idea of overall operation of Bunker Beach.


Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Must be 15 years of age or older by May 1, 2021.

  • Successfully pass a criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in janitorial/custodial work.

  • Previous customer service or public relations experience.

  • Must be able to perform all essential position functions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed:

  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team atmosphere.

  • Communications and customer service.

  • Knowledge in janitorial/custodial services.

Work Environment:

Work is performed outdoors at the Bunker Beach Facility in all weather conditions including rain, cold and heat. Environment may be crowded, hot and noisy. Must be neatly groomed and wear and maintain issued uniforms.



$10.00 - $11.00 per hour.


This position will start mid-May and will be 20-40 hours per week. Bunker Beach is open 7 days a week through September 6, 2021. Hours may vary to include some evenings and weekends. May include extended or shortened hours when weather dictates.

Selection Process

The examination/selection process for this classification will consist of a review of your training and experience from the application materials submitted. The most qualified candidates will be invited for an oral exam and/or interview.
