Job Description

Meticulously manage and oversee the handling of all incoming or active Reservations for the hotel. Through timely and accurately confirming all Reservations the perception of absolute efficiency should be achieved and maintained.


  • Oversee accurate input of Reservations into system.

  • Input Reservations within specified time periods, including FITs, Special Lodging Requests, and GDS bookings.

  • Maximize potential room revenue by following specified selling guidelines.

  • Ensure that all calls are acknowledge as quickly as possible.

  • Keep the number of Reservations denials to a bare minimum.

  • Oversee and assist Group Rooms Coordinator with group bookings Rooms merchandising.

  • Property-wide departmental interaction.

  • Train and coach providing knowledge of hotel services and events.

  • Ensure an efficient and professional working environment with open communication.

  • Ensure that guest history is used properly.

  • Ensure staff is well trained and has ongoing training as needed on all systems.

  • Ensure staff is able to upsell as necessary.

  • Ensure staff is able to describe all hotel accommodations.

  • Meet with meeting planners as necessary and group contacts, as well as social guests when necessary.

  • Provide weekly 14-day forecast

  • Work with all departments to provide them with updates on special offers and changes to social sales efforts.


  • 2+ year's previous hotel experience.

  • 1 year experience in reservations or front office required.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Posses high level of verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good judgment and problem solving skills.

  • Effective time management skills and multitasking capabilities.

  • Experience with hotel revenue management strategies.

  • Must be able to include a flexible schedule of nights, holidays and weekends.
