JOB SUMMARY: This is a Staff Development Training Consultant (Regional Trainer) position in the Department of Revenue’s Child Support Program, Region One Regional Administration Office in Panama City. The incumbent will maintain operational knowledge of Florida’s Child Support Program including knowledge of the Program’s procedures as they pertain to Child Support. Conduct and facilitate Child Support training to meet statewide and local training requirements, ensuring proper utilization of standardized course material and job aids, and other approved resources. Act as an instructor using effective classroom instruction techniques by use of visual aids, variety in presentation, and responsiveness in class participants, and when teaching individuals. Work in Microsoft Office using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, the Program’s computer system, state systems and the internet to research and evaluate information and to utilize training presentation software.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.

  • Two years of experience with the Child Support Program at RSII or higher.

  • Two years of experience training, teaching, instructing, or directing others.*
  • Two years of experience researching, interpreting, and applying policies or procedures.*

  • Two years of experience using effective communication through a variety of methods.*


SUBSTITUTIONS:


    • A college education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required experience.

  • This position has a standard workday of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
