Position Summary:

Catalent is seeking a Quality Control Scientist to join our growing team in Bloomington, Indiana.

As a Quality Control Scientist, your primary duty will be to analyze and process raw material, in-process and finished product samples to detect any presence of microbial or mycological contamination.

This is a full-time salaried position. The shift is Mon-Fri 11:00pm - 7:30pm.

The Role:

  • Precision pipetting skills.
  • Has applied knowledge of the principles and concepts of a discipline.
  • Operating microbiological or analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV, ICP-MS, FTIR, TOC, CE, ICE, Karl Fisher, Sterility Isolator, Plate Reader during service activities
  • Collaborate with internal departments and teams to resolve quality issues regarding facility, products manufactured and released.
  • Ensure proper documentation (laboratory investigations, out of specifications, deviations, CAPAs), data interpretation/presentation, statistical analysis, and trending.
  • Ensures compliance with cGMP and safety requirements. Participates and leads continuous quality improvements. Participates in quality audits as needed.

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science field with 3-5 years of experience, including 1 year GMP experience or regulated industry
  • Master’s degree in science field with 0-2 years of experience, including 1 year GMP experience regulated industry
  • PhD in science field with 0-2 years of experience, GMP experience preferred or other regulated industry
  • Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements.
