Description


We are seeking an individual to perform as a Project Coordinator for an ITSM contract. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing actions and activities required to execute the project objectives in order to ultimately implement and/or mature IT services. The successful Project Manager/Coordinator candidate will be responsible for integrating all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet client requirements, direct project team personnel, manages costs and schedules, ensure contract compliance, and serve as the principal customer interface. Additional duties include responsibility for planning, organizing, directing and tracking major aspects of the project, including technology, schedules, costs, and contract/customer satisfaction. Interfaces with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel. Must provide proactive leadership and direction of personnel performing complex tasks. Plans, implements, and maintains a project organization structure. Analyzes the effectiveness of the project organization and makes changes when needed.


The candidate will stay abreast of new features, functionality, and processes, playing a key role in driving continual service improvement. You will have the opportunity to solve complex problems, design efficient interfaces, and optimize processes through automation. This position offers the chance to improve the speed, efficiency, and reporting capability of IT services, in particular as those capabilities are driven by the project management framework. The candidate will also play a key role in representing current and future capabilities of supporting ITSM tools, and contributing to long-term strategy as well as tactical activities leading to the continual improvement of the entire environment to meet objectives.


In this role, the individual will serve as a liaison between Sr. Technical Managers and The Project Management Office. The Program Coordinator supports the Technical Project Managers. They serve as a liaison between the project management team and Project management office Team. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Develops mechanisms within the Service Now Project application tool for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with the Technical Leads. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract. - Developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned.


Job Responsibilities



  • Represents the program's Project Management Office (PMO) as a senior consultant to the customer's IT management executives and staff to provide expert advice and guidance based on industry best practices.

  • Coordinates and manages the project management efforts of technical staff and the integration/deployment of the team responsible for maintaining the ITSM service delivery and execution and improvement of all associated processes. Influences program wide Continual Service Improvement (CSI) by identifying and recommending policy, process, procedural, design and requirements needs enhancements.

  • Performs requirements analysis to identify business, customer and process needs ensuring proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements.

  • Supports advanced analysis requests and develops insights into optimization of current best practices, tool and methodology utilization (both current and evolving), as well as, maintaining a strategic Enterprise level perspective based on the ServiceNow ITSM platform and expanded capabilities thereof.

  • Resolves in a timely manner-problems that arise with existing demands and projects to ensure the efficient and proper execution of project deliverables. Collaborates with technical staff to learn and understand project level risks/problems/issues.

  • Follows established project management processes. Presents updates and changes to appropriate Points of Contact and Change Review boards for approval. Ensures that change authorization is provided before any activity deployed in production.

  • Provide product adoption analyses in support of new or enhanced products as it relates to ITSM.

  • Supports the implementation of security, planning and reporting tools

  • Drives improvements to the processes by working with Government stakeholders, external organizations, and internal teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes.

  • Supports the program's Quality and Continual Service Improvement (CSI) organization to consistently improve the level of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Works with other process owners to ensure an integrated approach to the design, implementation, and coordination of interfaces between project and demand management and other service management processes. (Change, Problem, Release, Incident, and Knowledge).

  • Works with dashboard and reporting team to define and configure insightful data visualizations, management reports, configuration item analysis reports, and project management reports.

  • Other ad hoc responsibilities in support of End User Services.


Qualifications


Required Education & Experience



  • Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience

  • Demonstrated project management experience with at least 4 years serving successfully in positions of major responsibility such as Project Manager or Chief/Lead Engineer.

  • Knowledge on aspects of Information Management systems

  • Comfortable and flexible working as part of a remote virtual team in a Federal environment

  • Positive “can do” attitude and highly analytical; enjoys challenges and has advanced ability to analyze and model business functions, processes and information flow within or between systems

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, capable of working independently with limited supervision based on established processes

  • Ability to lead / assist with formulation and definition of solution scope, objectives, budgets, and schedules while working with a team of reporting technical resources and customers on functional requirements and specifications.

  • Advanced ability to work with users and stakeholders at all levels to define expectations, scope, budget, schedule, risks, problems, issues, resources, requirements, quality, design and deliverables to meet project needs and delivery and performance objectives

  • Ability to conduct solutions evaluation, engineering, development, integration, testing, release, execution and supporting documentation

  • Knowledge of government operations.

  • Capable of working on multiple projects, resolve conflicting requests, and adapt to changing requirements and priorities

  • Ability to create and maintain detailed graphics and other documentation for solutions

  • Ability to apply research and analytical techniques to the design and development of new and existing policies, processes, and procedures


Desired Qualifications



  • Experience with the ServiceNow PPM Application Suite

  • Proficient with project management framework, techniques, and tools

  • PMP Certification (preferred)

  • ServiceNow Certification (preferred)

  • ITIL Foundations Certification (preferred)

  • Agile project management (preferred)

  • Experience in Office 365, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel


Clearance Required



  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.




Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
