Eaton's BLine division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor – 1st Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Sherman, TX facility.

Position Overview:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating production activities and leading hourly employees to meet customer requirements while providing a safe work environment. This role also establishes and maintains a positive employee relations environment by adherence to Eaton's Values, Ethics and Philosophies. In this function, you will:

• Conduct Daily Visual Management stand-up meeting with all department personnel in area of responsibility focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost/productivity, and inventory.


• Utilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory and lead-times as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategies.


• Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements in order to meet customer deadlines.


• Enforce and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and coach employees on behavior/performance issues and initiate disciplinary actions if required.


• Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements.


• Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented where necessary.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution


• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Manufacturing or Operations environment, or a combination of these functions


• Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience


• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within a 50 mile radius of Sherman, TX, will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Operations or Engineering from an accredited institution


• 5 years of experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment


• SAP business system experience


• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
