Overview:

We are looking for an eager and enthusiastic Production Planner/Scheduler. This role centers around coordinating the company's production schedule based on sales forecasts and operational capacity to meet customer needs. The successful candidate will support a diverse scope of complex planning operations. This cross functional team is bringing to market robotics and sophisticated automated systems for the life science industry. You will have an opportunity to exercise judgment within established practices and policies and offer suggestions for improvement when needed. Timing in this role will be key to your individual success and that of the company. This role reports to the Planning Manager and will interact with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and Prioritize all Machine Shop work including Manufacturing requirements, Engineering requests, and ECO reworks

  • Plan and release Machine Shop work orders per MRP requirements using Visibility ERP System

  • Review WIP work orders for actioning

  • Work closely with the Production Managers to schedule and reschedule Production priorities

  • Implement Engineering Change Orders on Open Work Orders

  • Ensure Work Orders are built at the correct revision

  • Track shortages and interface with Purchasing to expedite parts and to confirm that delivery dates meet scheduling requirements

  • Research and resolve WIP inventory discrepancies

  • Resolve any discrepancies with non-conforming parts through the MRB process

  • Perform Production Receipts to close and issue finished goods to stock or to work order and sales order shortages in a timely manner

  • Review and approve daily incoming Service sales order requests and advise on material availability to requestors

  • Work closely with Service, the stockroom, receiving and the other Planners to ensure all sales orders are sent out to the customers by the dates required

  • Review and action Open Sales Order Report

  • Review all Engineering Change Orders releases and work with the Planning Team to review requirements, create WIP reworks, and ensure each ECO is actioned properly

  • Review weekly Released/Implemented Report and follow up with ECOs still requiring implementation.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
  • Working knowledge of relevant ERP functionality including planning, multi-level bills of materials and inventory management

  • Highly organized analytical self-starter who possesses excellent interpersonal skills

  • The desire, willingness and ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook

  • 3+ years of experience in Supply chain manufacturing

  • BS degree or equivalent experience is preferred

  • Experience with Visibility and Omnify a plus
