Deposit Payments Money Movement (DPMM) is part of the Deposit Products Group business division. The Digital Wallets & Payments Team manages digital wallet solutions including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and PayPal, tokenization capabilities and enhancements and the Wallet Provisioning Scrum covering debit, credit and prepaid card products. Our DPMM team is hiring a Product Manager (Digital Consultant 4). In this role, the Digital Wallets & Payments Product Manager will be accountable to articulate product vision/strategy, establish goals/business outcomes, business leadership to teams to design/develop/deliver new processes and solutions. This includes the entire product and process life-cycle management: outcomes and planning, business requirements, direct product design and implementation, product enhancements, support sales and marketing, industry/competitive insights and ongoing product support. The product manager will also develop and monitor key performance indicators, identifies process improvement opportunities, and ensures control, regulatory and policy compliance.

Specific areas of responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end business leadership from new product development to ongoing management and support of the new solution

  • Lead cross-functional teams and partner across all levels to define business strategy and define business outcomes (e.g. features, capabilities, approach, business case, KPIs); and support execution of initiatives

  • Lead scrum team and work with key stakeholders and partners to ensure success and prioritization to stated business outcomes and customer value. Ensures cross-functional dependencies are articulated, managed and addressed across the impacted teams.

  • Lead as a risk management proponent; promote and adhere to risk management processes, controls and procedures

  • Product Change Assessment, new business initiatives process leadership; provide ongoing leadership as product is enhanced and evolves

  • Drive customer adoption by evaluating market needs, competitive landscape, establish implementation strategy and identifying opportunities to deepen relationships

  • Present to leadership team to gain consensus, set priorities, and secure resources.

  • Identify strategic partnership and alliance opportunities with external companies and industry experts to advance strategic priorities (internals, fin tech, competitors, payment networks, development community, etc); coordination of research, analysis to integrate recommendations

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting demonstrated through work or military experience

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Facilitation skills, including ability to facilitate decision-making and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 6+ years of product management, digital solutions or product development experience in financial services industry

  • Knowledge of Card solutions

  • Knowledge of Digital Payments solutions

  • Demonstrated disciplined operational thinker who can manage and lead in a complex risk environment

  • Demonstrated success in end-to-end product or channel management experience, from discovery through execution

  • 2+ years' experience developing strategy, roadmaps, business cases/outcomes for a product or service

  • Experience leading major initiatives with significant platform/product redesign definitions and launches

  • Ability to translate business needs into complex analysis, designs and recommendations

  • Experience using business analysis to identify and define business requirements, while supporting the validity of the final product

  • Experience working with development teams and other partner teams to articulate strategy, business requirements and approach in technology language

  • Experience writing documentation and artifacts to support strategy and development (e.g. epics, features, user stories, requirements, Cx design assets)

  • Expertise with Agile development methodology

  • Proficient in Jira
