The Product Development Coordinator supports the progression of the workflow by creating product specifications for multiple product lines and categories within assigned schedules. This position must be well versed in multiple systems used to build specifications for unique and complex products. The Product Development Coordinator position requires attention to detail and accuracy to ensure all products are correctly constructed. This position is responsible for creating and setting up all new items into PLM in preparation for resource assignment. They also manage the set up of new category formats in the Quickbase and SAP systems. The Product Development Coordinator will support Editorial Manager through assigning key attributes to the copy of multiple product lines and entering that copy into Compass and PLM systems. This position will manage all pre-production samples including tracking, proof preparation and providing status reports to ensure product lifecycle remains on schedule for production. This position must easily adapt to new processes and changing deadlines and be able to handle a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product set up and Specifications

 Responsible for entering and proofing data and updates to Card item specifications in the PLM system and Creative Product specifications into IPW system

o Process changes to specifications in a timely manner to ensure they are accurate and up to date

o Proof Dockets by verifying the information on the artwork and final PLM spec sheet match one another

o Identify and communicate any needs for Program set up changes in ADT

o Be familiar with all deadlines to maintain on time status with schedules

  • Editorial attribution
Apply proper attribute assignments to Papyrus brand copy

 Input correct copy into PLM and Compass programs

  • PPS and PS sample organization

 Track incoming PPS and prepare for proofing sessions.

Update PPS status in PLM post proofing review to advance product through the workflow.

 Manage the organization of all pre-production and production samples for Brand Managers and Product Development.

 Key contact for showroom and sales meeting samples. Track and manage sample list to ensure all samples are provided in a timely manner for shows and meetings.

Track and send needed samples for catalog photography

 Manage the delivery of Executive sample kits.

  • Administrative Support

 Initiate product set up in PLM and IPW System through CDF process

 Prepare Creative worksheets and assign product ID numbers

 Set up Creative Line list prior to Creative meetings.

Assist in keeping Product Development department and files organized

o Fill dockets, file and clean up, pull dockets as needed

o Remove old files, recycle paper and file PPS into storage by AMPI or Material number and Season

 Assist with Resource Planning support as needed.

 Support Product Management team as needed.

 Provide Administrative support to the Creative Department including booking travel, documenting expenses and ordering supplies.

  • Other duties as required as project needs necessitate.

Experience Required:

  • 1-2 years Administrative experience preferred
  • Able to handle fast-paced work environment
  • Practices good troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Ability to time manage and prioritize workload
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to diplomatically communicate recommendations and feedback

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or higher
