Summary


About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Ft. Benning, Georgia 31905. The Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Al. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available.



Responsibilities


  • Monitor various automated contract information management systems by entering, searching for, editing, and extracting data and information.

  • Serve as liaison for civilian personnel actions and maintains interface with the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) on civilian personnel matters.

  • Accomplish clerical, statistical and data entry tasks in support of the administrative work of the office using automated data processing systems.

  • Review reports and researches errors or conflicting information in procurement management documents.

  • Prepare reports on statues of various contracting metric information at management's request.

  • Prepare and verify procurement documents, files, reports, or records.

    • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

    Specialized Experience for GS-06: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes preparing, controlling, and reviewing procurement documents and reports; verify or abstract information contained in documents and reports; maintain various procurement files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05)

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).



    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
