Job Description:


The Principle Gifts and Academic Initiatives Associate provides fundraising and administrative support for the Brown Campaign. This position will provide administrative support to the Senior Principal Gifts Officer (SPGO). The SPGO manages a pool of prospects/donors with the capacity to make $5M+ gifts to the University. The SPGO also supports the Senior Vice President for Advancement in their prospect work. This position will handle administrative duties, including calendar management, meeting/travel arrangements, proposal pipeline maintenance, drafting of correspondence and briefings, research, event support, and technical and logistical support to the SPGO.


Job Qualifications


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience in a directly-related field (development, sales, customer relations and administrative), or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Experience in a higher-education, fundraising, or non-profit setting required.


Job Competencies



  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Strong project/time management skills essential.

  • Must be detail-oriented and have an ability to handle and complete multiple projects concurrently.

  • Demonstrated ability with computer software programs including Google Drive, Microsoft Office, s Excel and Word is required.

  • Knowledge of Blackbaud preferred.

  • Must have a degree of computer proficiency and Information Management Skills to carry out the major responsibilities of this position.

  • Must be detail-oriented and have an ability to handle and complete multiple projects concurrently.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
