Position Overview
As Catalyst’s sole People & Places Coordinator and an early member of the People Team, you will have the opportunity to embody and influence our company culture & values in the workspace. You will report to the People and Place Manager from the New York office, responsible for all programs within Catalyst headquarters (and beyond!) that enhance office life, employee engagement, connectivity, and overall work experience. You’ll be a driving force in creating an in-person company environment that enables our employees to thrive & to do meaningful work!

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a streamlined and positive workplace experience for employees by orchestrating office programs and ensuring office operations run smoothly daily in our NYC HQ.
  • Ensure our office is well-stocked and well-maintained (snacks galore!), managing vendor relationships and our office budget, and designing an office environment that’s comfortable, beautiful, and delicious
  • Support the People & Places Manager in executing and fulfilling employee engagement tasks that compliment an overarching culture strategy, including anniversary & birthday gifts, milestone gifts, employee swag, and care packages
  • Coordinate onboarding for all employees, including scheduling onboarding schedules for new hires and hiring managers
  • Execute calendar coordination for all interview loops, ensuring that candidates feel supported and engaged from their first interview through the offer stage
  • Maintain our applicant tracking system, Greenhouse, confirming it is up-to-date and accurately reflects where each candidate is within their respective process

What You’ll Need

  • Must be able to work onsite in our New York office on a day-to-day basis
  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience, ideally within an early-stage, growth-oriented company
  • Comfort with the ambiguity of changing priorities, and the flexibility to embrace new ideas within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to autonomously manage multiple assignments at once, while meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and analyzing impact
  • Desire to have a highly visible role within the company’s headquarters, and to be a champion for all things facilities!
  • A passion for all things people — you like people, and people like you. You're comfortable talking with folks from all walks of life and have a can-do attitude that encourages people to seek help and support
