We're looking for a People Operations Specialist to help deliver an outstanding employee experience while owning backend operations and processes. You'll play a fundamental role on our People Operations team, working on projects and processes that seek to improve the employee lifecycle. We have a strong foundation and we're looking for a talented individual to help support our People team.


What you will do:


Think creatively about the employee experience– find ways to improve every milestone in the employee lifecycle


Maintain and update HR information management systems, HR tools, and employee resources


Support our internal programs such as Upwave United, Upwave Momentum, Speaker Series, Raffles and Upwave Swag Store


Manage all employee records, supporting documentation and tracking of employee data


Own, maintain and continually enhance the new employee onboarding program


Ensure employee inquiries are answered and/or properly routed in a timely manner


Support the execution of performance reviews, training initiatives, engagement surveys, benefit enrollment, etc.


Conduct employee reporting on a regular and ad hoc basis


Respond to requests for employment verifications


Manage employee leave of absence and offboarding administration


Monitor HR processes for effectiveness and makes recommendations for streamlining the process


About you:


You have 1+ years of experience in Human Resources/ People Operations


You understand the importance of the employee experience and how your role impacts it


You have the ability to manage multiple project at one time and pivot between them


You are inquisitive and don't hesitate to ask questions


You are willing to step in on a project when a team member needs support


You see yourself contributing at all levels to a fast-paced, highly collaborative team and you excel at being the "go-to" member of a team


You are able to work autonomously and independently, while contributing to team initiatives
