The Manager Addiction Program provide leadership and supervisory responsibility for the daily operations of substance use disorder services to ensure coordination of staff and clinical services and continuity of patient care. Provide clinical supervision to staff, students, and interns to facilitate development of clinical competency and ethical practice. Provide backup coverage and consultation in conjunction with other programs at the site.

  • Manage daily operations of substance use disorder services, assuring the services are delivered according to the standards of care and practice within the parameters established by the strategic plan and budget process.

  • Supervise staff and coach employee work outcomes to result in the implementation and achievement of goals and action plans.

  • Provide leadership and supervision within the applicable program and for students/interns.

  • Represent Hazelden Betty Ford services to various audiences to ensure consistent knowledge of services, processes and participation.

  • Facilitate, demonstrate, and monitor staff communication of patient information to internal and external resources for patients according the Hazelden Betty Ford policy and procedures and consistent with Federal Confidentiality (CFR 42) and Health Information Portability and Privacy Act (CFR 45) and mandated reporting requirements.

  • Provide back-up coverage substance abuse treatment services to patients in need according to the Hazelden Betty Ford standards of care as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in a related field

  • License from appropriate state or new out of state employees may be in process of getting appropriate license (must have license or certification from another state) for the Supervisor requirements:

    • CA: LAADC or CADC

    • FL: CAP, CAC and/or ICRC and Florida certification or eligibility

    • IL: CADC

    • MN: LADC

    • NY: CASAC or equivalent license in related field

    • OR: CADC II or a master's degree and 3 years full time experience in social services with minimum 2 years of direct alcohol and drug counseling experience

  • Three or more years of management experience and/or training

  • Three or more years' experience in the addiction field with a minimum of two years with Twelve Step facilitation

  • Two years freedom from chemical use problems (MN, CA, OR)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Addiction Studies or related field

  • LMHC, LMFC, LCSW, LPC, LPCC or related field licensure

  • Three or more years providing clinical supervision
