Assures and assists in provision of optimum quality patient care by serving as resource person for other staff members, patients and family.
Coordinates patient care with registered nurse and other departments.
Performs data collection and obtains patient information.
Assists the RN with patient care.
Intervenes with appropriate action after needs are identified.
Evaluates the assignment, planning and intervention process.
Demonstrates professional and personal development.
Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.
Assists the physician.
Reports to: Department Director

Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:? Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days.

Current licensure by the WV State LPN Board
