Position Summary:

Provides assistance and support to Teacher in the planning and implementation of classroom instruction to specifically meet the educational needs of the assigned student. Provides encouragement and support to the student to contribute to the best possible educational experience. We are hiring a Job Coach for our Bancroft School in Mt.Laurel.

Job Coach, Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight of vocational internships for students attending the Bancroft School.
  • Establishes and maintains databases.
  • Data collection and maintenance.
  • Coordination of data with transition teachers for purposes of movement and progress reporting.
  • Job development
  • Conducts vocational assessments.
  • Seeks and maintains professional relationships with internship partners.
  • Works one-on-one with students for assessment of individualized voc development
  • Seeks partnerships with community jobs and opportunities.
  • Evaluates participation
  • Provides individual job coaching.
  • Provides support to students at employer job site with job training needs
  • Facilitates the social integration of students for employment.
  • Maintains LOS.
  • Maintains professional relationships with team members to support internship development and oversight (e.g., job coaches, curriculum, supervisors).
  • Provides training and support to students, staff members, classrooms, and teachers.
  • Maintains effective communication.
  • Maintains professionalism, appearance, confidentiality, courtesy, conduct, honesty, fairness, personal integrity, and a respect for the fundamental rights, dignity, and privacy of others.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by educational program needs.
  • Maintains appropriate interventions/SPA to support success and participation.
  • Adherence to student IEP.
  • Maintains safety of students; considers COVID safety and mitigation.


Education & Experience:

60 college credits and six months related work experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or currently enrolled in a related college program are required. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
