Provide crisis support and advocacy for students who identify as victims, survivors, and secondary survivors of interpersonal violence. Work collaboratively with campus and community partners. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Provide advocacy and crisis intervention services to students who experience interpersonal violence. Assist victims and survivors with support, safety planning, crisis intervention; addressing needs related to counseling, academics, emergency housing relocation, information on reporting options; and accessing on and off campus resources; etc. Accompany survivors to related meetings as needed. Provide on-going case management and resource referrals.
25% - Essential - Document all interactions and services in an accurate and timely manner. Assist with creating and providing education and training initiatives. Provide services in a manner that is culturally competent and inclusive.
25% - Essential - Work collaboratively with the Office of Access and Equity, Clemson University Police Department, Student Health Services, other campus departments, and community agencies such as sexual trauma and domestic violence centers. Work in conjunction with university administration, particularly the Title IX Coordinator and the Office of the Dean of Students, to implement policies and serve victims and survivors of interpersonal violence.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree (Social Work, Higher Education or related field)
Experience - 2+ years providing direct advocacy and crisis intervention services
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree (Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Health Promotion, Higher Education or a related field)
Experience - 2+ years providing advocacy services, working directly with victims of interpersonal violence and providing crisis intervention services and training regarding interpersonal violence
