Summary


You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) in the COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS INTEGRATION BRANCH of NAVAL INFORMATION WARFARE CENTER (NIWC) PACIFIC.

Responsibilities



  • You will serve as Information Technology (IT) Specialist and Project Manager (PM) to manage, plan, design, execute, integrate and test C4I installations in the Communications Systems Integration Branch.

  • You will coordinate and execute all aspects of installations, including but not limited to, the oversight of contractors to ensure successful completion of projects and compliance with safety, security and HAZMAT regulations.

  • You will provide IT support, design and integration for communication systems, networking, virtualization and cloud computing initiatives.

  • You will be responsible for project-related finances and reporting status of projects, and effectively communicates and brief leadership and sponsors on both the technical and programmatic aspects of projects

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications


Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing cost, schedule, performance, and installation of IT systems including long and short range planning, site surveys, system design, installation design, on-site engineering, and installation of various C4ISR and IT systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
