Job Summary

The Supervisor will make assignments, oversee housekeeping operations and actively participate in housekeeping activities in support of academic, residential, administrative, and student support services. The supervisor will coordinate housekeeping requirements to support special events/functions working with the facility managers. This work will also involve support of Human Resource matters such as maintaining time and attendance records, management of leave requests, performance management feedback and disciplinary procedures.

Required Qualifications

Experience in the use of cleaning equipment. Working knowledge of institutional Housekeeping Services. Ability to understand and follow instructions, to effectively communicate at varying levels within the organization, and to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to advise, counsel, demonstrate fairness, be decisive and maintain objectivity in personnel matters. Demonstrated ability to direct the work of others, and to maintain a professional working relationship with all contacts.

Preferred Qualifications

Supervisory experience in a Housekeeping position. Experience within higher education. Experience in the use of various cleaning agents and powered equipment.
