Summary: The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South, a non-profit organization, seeks a full-time, paid Human Resource Associate. The Mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit mind and body for all. We serve Shelby, Northwest Gibson County, Tennessee; DeSoto, Lafayette County, Mississippi, and Crittenden County, Arkansas.

Key Deliverables for this position:

  • Positively portray the Memphis Y Culture – This position will work directly with the Senior Onboarding Specialist to be the Brand Ambassador for the Memphis Y and its culture across our organization and in the community.

  • Recruiting – This position work support the VP of Culture and Recruiting as well as the Senior Onboarding Specialist

    to implement an effective

    recruiting strategy that addresses the majority of our replacement, expansion and seasonal hiring needs with the best “fit”

    candidates. This may involve developing key relationships with people and institutions across our service area to source

    these candidates, working job fairs, hiring events and other duties as defined.

  • Training – This position will participate in and lead company training as it is developed. Specifically, this will begin with a

    standardized onboarding training for all new Y employees and will then advance to additional training as directed by the Senior

    Onboarding Specialist and VP of Culture and Recruiting.

  • Succession Planning/Talent Management – This position will support the Senior Onboarding Specialist in implementing the

    Succession Planning/Talent Management process for the Memphis Y.

  • Hiring & Onboarding – This position will be the lead agent in completing the hiring and onboarding process for new Memphis Y

    employees. We are developing an internal customer focused full-service hiring and onboarding solution that takes the pain

    out of the hiring process for our hiring managers and simplifies the hiring process for all involved. This position will become

    an expert in using the recruiting, hiring and onboarding features within Ceridian Dayforce. The Onboarding Specialist will work

    to make the hiring and onboarding process as efficient as possible and as scalable as possible so it can be applied to a few

    employees or to 100s of employees as needed with minimal adjustment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in Ceridian Dayforce a plus.

  • Experience in a training/recruiting role a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or equivalent required.
