Job Description

The Position  

At Techo Bloc, our general laborers are a crucial piece of the production puzzle.  This entry level role is a perfect fit for those newer to the industry, or anyone looking for a career steppingstone in manufacturing. 

Speaking of stones, our laborers are true concrete connoisseurs!  Your day-to-day will entail handling and inspecting concrete blocks, while serving as the ‘right hand’ to our machine operator and maintenance team. 

Here is a snapshot of your responsibilities

·         Receive and inspect products in accordance with Techo Bloc’s standards. 

·         Utilize a keen eye to verify product height, shape, color and consistency.

·         Be Picky. Remove defective pieces from pallets & board and replace with quality pieces.

·         Learn and grow, as the ‘right hand’ to our machine operators.  Assist with basic maintenance, pallet wrapping/building, repair and yard responsibilities.

·         Ask questions, keep growing.  High performers will have the opportunity to develop into additional roles at Techo Bloc.

**Please note the hours of this position are M-F: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with occasional Saturday hours.

Qualifications

Your Experience

·         1+ years of manufacturing, or related experience

·         High School Diploma, or GED equivalent (highly preferred)

·         Ability to read and use measuring tools. 

·         Previous machine operation experience is a plus. 

Required Skills

·         Detail Oriented - you believe that a job done right will look good and withstand the test of time.

·         Safety-focused - some rules are made to be broken, but you know that safety is never one of them. 

·         Problem Solver – you spring into action when things go haywire and offer support to your team.   

·         You’re a tough cookie, willing to play in the dirt with us.
