The Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Systems Manager is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of its Oracle EPM cloud planning application. The role supports the organization’s financial close, planning and forecasting processes. Responsible for system enhancement projects from users’ requirement gathering, to design, development, testing and roll-out to the users. Although primarily a finance role, the position requires significant technical knowledge.



  • Serves as a technical expert for the Oracle EPM cloud planning application Gathers and transforms business user requirements into data models and system designs
  • Develops required planning and reporting solutions and enhancements
  • Performs unit, system, and interface testing for these solutions, as well as provides guidance and assistance for user testing
  • Prepare and deliver user training related to the enhancements
  • Coordinates the migration of enhancements to the Production environment
  • Updates admin procedures to include new or updated steps
  • Back-up for admin tasks related to close (data loads) and forecast (quarterly set-up)
  • User support


  • None



  • BS/BA degree in related discipline and seven years of related experience; or,
  • MS/MA degree in related discipline and five years of related experience; or,
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Experience with development, implementation, and support of Hyperion Planning/Essbase/PBCS/EPBCS product suites required
  • Experience supporting finance organizations required
  • Experience in biotech / pharmaceuticals / healthcare preferred


  • Development skills across components of Hyperion/Essbase/Oracle EPM Cloud (PBCS/EPBCS) e.g. business rules, groovy scripts, Data Management/FDM, EPMAutomate
  • Knowledge of financial close, planning and forecasting processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with user community
  • Customer-service orientation


  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced and changing environment, meeting deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Requires excellent attention to detail while not losing sight of the big picture.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
