Job Description

Your Career 

Palo Alto Networks’ product portfolio covers a growing range of underlying technologies required to meet the evolving needs of cyber security.  This growth has led to a similar increase in our programs as we seek to enable an increasing number of learners with more diverse learning needs. 

In this role you will be managing education programs operated by the Palo Alto Networks Global Enablement team.  Global Enablement is responsible for providing technical training and certifications to our employees, partners, and customers.  

You will be the professional that creates, oversees and coordinates processes for  both internal and external program management for the department.  As the Global Enablement Program Manager, you will be responsible for running multiple programs, resulting in Certifications, Instructor-Led Trainings, Digital Learnings covering the breadth of the Palo Alto Networks product portfolio. The focus of this role is to provide the necessary communication and visibility to ensure successful execution of these programs.

Extensive familiarity with program management best practices, especially in the fields of technical training development, and flexibility are required to support the design, production, publishing, and maintenance of our world class learning experiences. 

You will serve as the face of the department in cross functional communications and actively represent the department in numerous Palo Alto Networks internal and external forums. This individual will be the primary contact between the department and the various program stakeholders.  

Your Impact

  • Lead planning process and implementing best practices ensuring training programs meet professional standards and the needs of the stakeholders

  • Create and manage components of large scale programs including development, release, reporting success metrics of customer, partner and internal training

  • Build processes and best practices for quality control for all training products,  projects and activities 

  • Own the development of work plans, project milestone trackings processes and communicate project progress to stakeholders

  • Determine project partners and team structure/organization partners

  • In conjunction with project partners, help ensure definition of project scope, requirements, and deliverables

  • Develop project timeline and landmarks using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Build and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

  • Run day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope

  • Manage, maintain, and improve metrics and KPIs

  • ​​​​​​​Minimize exposure and risk on all projects


Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in Learning & Development, cyber-security, and/or program management role

  • PMP certification is preferred 

  • Certified Scrum Master along with knowledge and application of agile methodology is preferred

  • Meticulous with details and timelines to ensure accuracy

  • Extremely organized and able to manage the coordination of multiple programs and events globally

  • Positive, learning, collaborative, global and growth mindset

  • High degree of professional credibility, including responsiveness, business focus, sound judgment and the ability to prioritize

  • High concern for giving learners an excellent experience

  • Experience working with a learning management system (LMS)

  • Proven track record of successfully working cross-functionally and/or globally

  • Experience in instructional design, adult learning, and/or certification
