Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university.

  • 1-2 years of combined experience as a player, coach or staff member at the NCAA Division I, III, Junior League or High School Level.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience managing budgets.

  • Experience with direct report(s) supervision.

  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Commitment to athletic excellence in an academic environment.

  • Experience as a student athlete.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally.

  • Experience working with diverse populations.



This incumbent will assist in developing and maintaining a competitive Division I women’s hockey program in a manner compatible with the department and University philosophy, and in compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage the office operations and administration of the UMD Women’s Hockey Program.

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of team travel including flights, meals, lodging and assistance with team itineraries.

  • Oversee sport budget as well as ordering supplies and equipment.

  • Assist with the scheduling of facilities for practice, team functions or team meals.

  • Works with the department financial contact and business office on all purchases, PO, returns or budgetary needs.

  • Supervises a staff of one/two interns or student workers who help manage and maintain equipment.

  • Organize and monitor the video program for the team including evaluation of software, hardware and services.

  • Serves as an integral part of achieving fund raising, budget and community service goals.

  • Support the UMD Athletics mission of excellence in the Classroom, Community and Competition; while furthering the strategic plan of UMD.

  • Support equity and diversity throughout the program, department and university.

  • Travel is required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
