iCAD is looking for a dedicated Director of IT that will develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Company's IT ecosystem. The primary focus will be to manage outsourced vendors, assess the needs of the organization and build a roadmap to deliver needed functions, and to create a secure environment that is constantly responding to new threats. The person that will excel in this job will have strong problem-solving skills, ability to communicate well including listening, a strong desire for ownership and accountability, and ability to manage internal and external team members.


Responsible for developing and implementing short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capability meets current and future needs of the organization with specific emphasis on security and mitigation of cyber threats. Conduct research and recommend changes in services, products, protocols, and standards to support development efforts and infrastructure adoption and deployment. Train and educate users to identify and mitigate risks. Define and manage IT disaster recovery strategy. Define software and hardware standards in collaboration with stakeholders and owners. The position will oversee operational costs, conduct near and long-term financial estimates for expanded functionality and user base. Employees at this level are largely self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.


  • Create a rolling 3-5 year strategy and progressively implement a robust IT function built around internal resources, managed services, cloud-hosted services, hardware, etc.

  • Assess needs on corporate, departmental, and individual user basis and recommend solutions that optimize balance of need, cost, complexity, and security.

  • Assist with implementations and enable accessibility of functionality within computing platforms (ERP, reporting,, etc.).

  • Create a responsive approach to maintaining security, including developing a secure environment, training users, performing assessments/audits, and constantly improving security measures in light of threat emergence and evolution.

  • Oversee the central management of any incidents, ensuring incidents are resolved efficiently; work across technologies to establish the root cause and provide strategic input to ensure any underlying issues are fully remediated.

  • Manage and run PEN testing and outcomes.

  • Establish, implement, and evaluate information systems policies and procedures.

  • Provide "hands-on" day-to-day support and resolution of IT issues and serve as an escalation point for customer production software issues and concerns.

  • Escalate and resolve issues by working with the appropriate service provider based on incident type, severity, and required technology expertise.

  • Help maintain and monitor back-up systems.

  • Responsible for the fiscal management of the department and ensures proper utilization of organization's financial resources.

  • Ensure Software updates and Patch compliance.

  • Supports the implementation of cyber security policies, architectures, technical standards, technical controls, security solutions, guidelines, procedures, and other elements necessary to maintain security and compliance.


  • Support project teams in conducting the security activities during the development process across multiple projects and products at the same time.

  • Support identifying cyber threats and help product team architect, design and deliver secure systems.

  • Perform threat and risk analysis and define mitigations in line with risk acceptance criteria.

  • Define, supervise, and test the components/subsystems with regards to system security.

  • Lead analysis and handling of security vulnerabilities & incidents.

  • Lead continuous improvement in company's cybersecurity posture, such as SOP definition and improvements, training, and demonstrate best practices through hands-on involvement in all security related activities


  • 5-7 years in IT management, operations, project management.

  • Must have three (3) years supervisory/managerial experience.

  • MS Active Directory and Azure experience.

  • Proficient in MS Office 365, including Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio.

  • Five years of management experience supervising technical operations personnel.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, computer science, or computer-related field is required.

  • Networking Architecture experience, including fiber, switches, firewall, and WAP's.
