Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Vice President for Marketing & Strategic Planning, the Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development develops and monitors the Garnet Health strategic planning process and conducts various planning and business development activities, including oversight for data collection and analysis, grant writing and administration of the Garnet Health grants management process, special project oversight and regulatory compliance. Conducts data collection, analysis and project management as needed in support of product and service lines and grant applications. Educates product line leaders to methodology and data resources. Advises staff regarding CON requirements and manages the preparation of all CON applications to the NYS Department of Health. Represents Garnet Health at all regulatory and planning meetings at both the state and local level. Supervises the Planning and Grants Associate.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum Five to Seven (5-7) years of progressive responsibility in a strategic planning and/or business development role including three (3) years of management experience. Marketing and Public Relations experience desired.
Required Certification/Registration: Certification in Digital Marketing is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Travel to multiple facilities is required.

- Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Ability to lift 10 lbs.

Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
