Customer Service / Front Desk Receptionist Needed

St. Andrew's Parish Parks and Playground is committed to enriching lives through parks, recreation and wellness

Various shifts throughout the day starting at 5:00 a.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m.

We are seeking a fun and friendly customer service professional to offer exceptional customer service at the front desk of our Fitness/Recreation Facility. We are able to offer flexible hours per week and a free fitness center & pool membership.

Essential Functions: Our Front Desk Teammates have the first interaction with both members and potential members and are an important point of contact.

General responsibilities include:

• Enthusiastically greet customers as they enter and leave the facility


• Answer the phone in a friendly manner


• Answer member questions, review member accounts, assist in setting up new registrations


• Address/resolve customer questions and concerns


• Must be able to learn and use our software database and registration procedures


• Process payments


• Guide members in regards to membership discounts, special events, and other promotions


• Perform various administrative and housekeeping duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent required


• Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, administrative assistant, retail, sales and/or cashier experience preferred. Experience in health clubs or recreation facilities a plus


• Computer and typing experience required


• Basic record keeping practices and procedures

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and/or walk for the entire shift. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, type, stand, bend, walk, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift up to 20 pounds.

Hours of Work:

Hours will vary according to availability. This is a Part-Time position, up to 29 hours per week. We are seeking candidates with flexibility to work a variety of hours. This position is non-exempt and reports directly to the Customer Service Director.
