POSITION: Custodian


SALARY: $13.69 per hour - 10hrs per week


REPORTS TO: Inchelium Ferry Program Manager


LOCATION: Inchelium Washington


Basic Functions: Non- Exempt. Provide custodial services to the Inchelium/Gifford Ferry Program restrooms, offices, and some grounds maintenance. Keep the grounds and sidewalks outside the restrooms clean and free of debris, ice, and snow.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and Training:


  • Requires a High school Diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Requires a valid Washington Drivers License and be eligible for the tribes insurance.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Requires knowledge of required cleaning products and procedures.

  • Requires the ability to reflect reliability, dependability, and good attendance.

  • Requires the ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.

  • Requires the ability to get along with co-workers.

  • Requires the ability to use power buffer and vacuum cleaner.
  • Requires the ability to work independently.

  • Requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs. using proper lifting techniques.

  • Requires the ability to handle moderately strenuous tasks on a regular basis.

  • Requires the ability to work weekends.

  • Requires reliable transportation to and from work


Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.



TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.




If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
