As a Consumer Loan Processor, you will be responsible for processing loans from branches, Virtual Service Center, Private Client, Member Relationship Agents, and the Financial Service Center. Prepare loan documents and fund loans within the requirements of the loan policies established by the Credit Union. Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

  • Prepare, fund and package loans.

  • Perform employment verifications/income verifications, insure accuracy of loan contracts and make decision within limits.

  • File and organize all incoming and outgoing documents for example: Signature cards, applications, and contracts.

  • Maintain and mail flood zone and initial discloser documentations.

  • Process indirect cross sell visa offers.

  • Assist in month-end balancing and report preparation.

  • Able to work and maintain a positive relationship with third party vendors.

  • Participate in department and credit union projects that pertain to consumer loan products.

  • Assist branches and all assigned sales teams in completing loans with correct and accurate information.

  • Communicate regarding issues or concerns with branches and all assigned sales teams

  • Review incoming loan applications to verify required information is compliant with checklist.

  • Daily record keeping on incoming loans and distribution of files to the appropriate branch.

  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel with the ability to write proposals and develop spreadsheets pertaining to department functions.

  • Able to audit our own products and stay up to date with on state requirements with titles, vesting, ect.

  • Other duties as assigned.


High School diploma / GED preferred. Must be organized. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times. Ability to cope with high pressured situations. Knowledge of general lending policies. Understanding of Credit Union and department goals and objectives. Proficient in math, 10 key, and computer usage. Ability to complete work accurately with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members, dealers and other Credit Union staff. Professional in appearance and dependable with attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Self-motivated and willing to take steps to continually expand knowledge of financial industry. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit for extended periods of time. Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
