The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

The Cards, Retail & Merchant Services (CRMS) team provide general-purpose cards, co-branded cards and private-label credit cards to consumers.

The Business Support Consultant 4 will support all credit cards and a newly created function to manage Mass Reissues and Card Compromises. This role will be the primary operations lead for Credit Card Mass Reissues, Product Conversions and Compromises. Responsibilities including managing the Card Compromise process, enhancing Compromised Card Application (CCA) to automate compromises and mass reissues within the tool, manage BAU, manage Mass Reissuance Projects including Product Conversions ensuring flawless execution and create reporting as needed.

The Business Support Consultant 4 Consults with management and business partners on matters of significance regarding strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for the applicable business functions. Such consultation includes discussion of alternatives and implications. Presents to executive management on business performance and recommends strategies to implement changes and improvements. Utilizes thorough knowledge of the LOB's or business group's functional area or products to support and drive strategic initiatives for the business. Provides work direction to lower level staff. Leads support functions and/or operations/production oversight usually for multiple business groups for a Line of Business or for a significantly diverse and complex business group within a Line of Business.

Functions supported may include: policy/procedure administration and adherence, systems/change initiatives, business continuity planning, legal and regulatory adherence, SLA negotiation/development, reporting and analysis, project funding, pipeline, process improvement, quality management (example: may include negotiation of SLA and QA program across multiple LOBs), MBO development, communications, financial control/budgeting oversight (example: monitoring business expenses) and/or team member processing (example: planning focal review).

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

IA-Des Moines: Min: $91,700 Mid: $131,000 Max: $170,300

NC-Charlotte: Min: $91,700 Mid: $131,000 Max: $170,300

AZ-Chandler: Min: $91,700 Mid: $131,000 Max: $170,300

IA-West Des Moines: Min: $91,700 Mid: $131,000 Max: $170,300

SD-Sioux Falls: Min: $82,500 Mid: $117,900 Max: $153,300

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services demonstrated through work or military experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of credit card industry experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile

  • Experience navigating through ambiguity

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques

  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business leading large scale initiatives

  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills

  • Experience translating business needs into complex analysis, designs and recommendations

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills

  • Fiserv experience preferred
