Position Summary


Paragon Genomics is a fast-growing life sciences company developing advanced reagents and assay kits for next-generation sequencing (NGS). We are seeking a full-time Business Operations Specialist to join the team in our San Francisco Bay Area office. The ideal candidate has a strong desire for growth and is looking for an opportunity to provide administrative support to our growing sales team. This position reports to the Director of Commercial of Business Operations.


Key Responsibilities



  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound calls and emails.

  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales teams for further development and closure.

  • Assist sales team with achieving quarterly quotas.

  • Maintain and expand CRM database through daily management.

  • Support all pre-sales and post-sales inquiries over the phone, via email, and occasionally through live chat in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.

  • Assist with order administration by working with clients to obtain purchase orders and documentation for order and client setup.

  • Collaborate with other departments including accounting, manufacturing, tech support, bioinformatics, and quality control to initiate and coordinate the order processing and shipment.

  • Develop quotes for customers using a pricing calculator.

  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications and Background



  • Two-year college degree with relevant experience; four-year degree preferred.

  • Minimum of three years of customer-facing experience. Logistics, sales, or marketing experience preferred.

  • Background in biology is a plus.

  • Experience with Zoho CRM, WooCommerce, and Tidio software a plus.

  • Ability to work and think independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and listening skills

  • Self-motivated and able to achieve shared objectives

  • Ability to maintain customer service-oriented mindset

  • A positive team player who’s able to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  • Must possess solid critical thinking skills; must be able to anticipate and solve problems in a systematic manner
