Business Analyst/Program Trainer

Position Description

CGI is seeking a Trainer/Business Analyst with 3 to 5 years of experience in IT industry. Strong program trainer/business analyst and a focus on presentation skillset is required.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Devise functional training programs according to client requirements.
  • Review existing documentation, including business requirements documents, functional design documents, use cases and requirements traceability matrices, existing training documentation, user guides, and executive level presentations for the purpose of creating training materials.
  • Work with the client to create training schedules and classroom agenda, determine course content according to objectives and prepare training material (PowerPoint presentations, checklists/worksheets etc.)
  • Maintain updated records of training curriculum and materials. Document updates to current business processes, business flows, rules and artifacts, and changes/updates to business processes, business flows, rules and artifacts for the purpose of training end users.
  • Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually, both on-site and remotely when needed.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of each educational session. Retain and report data on completed courses, attendance, issues etc. for the purpose of evaluating performance of training programs.
  • Excellent client interaction skills in support of end user training needs.
  • Meet tight project deadlines for creating session material according to release schedules.
  • Managing and escalating issues/risks for resolution.
  • Provide production support for functionality released to production.

Additional responsibilities may also include:

  • Excellent client interaction skills in support of formal requirements gathering sessions (e.g., JAD sessions), as well as informal requirements sessions (e.g., one-on-one potentially with senior level staff)
  • Participate in requirements workshops/JAD sessions to identify business needs and requirements;
  • Participate in prototyping user interface designs
  • Participate in user testing sessions
  • Participate in Unit/System Testing & overall Quality Control efforts

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • 3-5 years previous experience as a trainer
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Extensive experience with office productivity tools (e.g., Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and groupware applications (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint)
  • Excellent client interaction skills in support of end users
  • Excellent research skills
