Job Description Summary:

The Segment Associate Marketing Manager (AMM) supports the development and execution of strategies that shape the direction of Uponor’s commercial segments. The Segment AMM is a customer-obsessed, curious, and confident individual who will influence transformational go-to-market strategies through deep understanding and championing of the customer journey.

The AMM will identify and articulate future road maps to drive differentiated and profitable growth leveraging their understanding of emerging business and societal trends, market structure, customer experience behaviors and product/service requirements. Support the development and execution of projects that Uponor is uniquely positioned to deliver by contributing customer and market insights that help identify and define unmet customer needs.

Job Description:


  • Lead customer research/insights with focus on gaining insight to emerging customer, market, and societal trends that provide vision for differentiated product/services and go-to-market strategies

  • Drive change - Lead research, analysis, and identification of customer journey pain points that provide actionable insight into the customer experience to influence differentiated new product development (NPD) product and service offerings as well as overall customer engagement with Uponor.

  • Manage the development and maintenance of a customer intelligence and voice of customer (VOC) database for the effective and efficient dissemination of insights.

  • Support projects including in-depth market and customer analysis, opportunity modeling and prioritization for new initiatives to increase successful achievement of the Uponor vision.

  • Leverage customer journey knowledge in cross-functional teams to optimize strategies and execution around given business, market, and customer needs.

  • Support execution of other segment, portfolio and innovation marketing initiatives as directed, based on needs of the business.

  • Deliver reports on business, market, competitor, and customer trends/insights to key stakeholders, including marketing, new ventures, sales, and leadership teams.


  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales or equivalent degree.

  • 5+ years of related experience.

  • Prior experience in customer journey mapping, CX, market research and analytics.

  • Experience in or influencing product and service development a plus.

  • Demonstrated self-starter and ability to drive results.

  • Experience applying market research techniques, drawing conclusions and driving results based on qualitative insights and quantitative data.

  • Proven track-record of influencing peers and leadership to take action.

  • Effective and approachable communication style to engage others and build credibility and rapport.

  • Proven success working cross-functionally to ensure collaboration on shared goals.

  • Curious, confident, and willing to challenge status-quo.
