Summary


You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the DIVISION of NAVAL EDUCATION and TRAINING COMMAND of SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS.

Responsibilities



  • You will plan, develop, and execute the organization's Administration Management Program.

  • You will advise management officials, supervisors, and employees on the interpretation and application of a variety of policies, practices, and procedures related to management analysis, reports, management, manpower utilization and contracts.

  • You will maintain comprehensive databases to provide information used in making organization decisions and preparing reports.

  • You will perform budget forecasting functions to ensure that expenditures are consistent with budget formulation plans as the fiscal year progresses.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications


Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising and guiding interpretation and application of administrative directives and instructions; 2) Providing management responsibility of a small staff with recommendations and initiations of requests for recruitment, interviewing and selecting employees, complying with EEO objectives, planning and assigning work and maintaining current position descriptions within accordance personnel guidelines and directives; 3) Monitoring/executing financial and budgetary transactions to ensure adequate controls of funds; and 4) Communicating administrative program reports, changes in protocol, and correspondence. Education


For the GS-11 education may be substituted for Specialized Experience as follows:


Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.


OR


Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.


OR


Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.


OR


Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above when combined equals 100% of the required experience.
