AML Analyst Opportunity Overview




The AML Analyst for Banner Bank supports the development, implementation, and management of the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and OFAC Compliance Programs. This position focuses on compliance monitoring and due diligence activities and includes use of data bases and queries to support these efforts. You will also support the administration of the BSA Manager system which provides an automated solution for monitoring and reporting suspicious financial activity under general direction of Management, including access controls and change management processes.



As an AML Analyst for Banner Bank, you will have the opportunity to:



  • Investigate, evaluate, and report suspicious activity

  • Conduct or assist in conducting project work in the areas of BSA/AML or OFAC compliance. Coordinate preparation, review and timely submission of required reports

  • Provide assistance and guidance to staff on BSA/AML and OFAC compliance matters

  • Support releases, maintenance and quality assurance for BSA Manager, including testing and trouble-shooting

  • Serve as a liaison between the end users, OSD/IT and the software vendor

  • Guide and advise other staff members in the use of the system

  • Assist management to establish and implement RM&C priorities, project deliverables and the road map for effective and efficient utilization of BSA Manager





Travel:
Overnight travel may be up to 10% - 15%








QUALIFICATIONS





Education & Certifications





  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Law, Accounting, a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or willingness to obtain







Experience





  • 1 or more years of banking experience

  • Working knowledge of community bank operations, especially deposit-related operations

  • Knowledge of BSA/AML and OFAC regulatory requirements
