Marrakech is looking for staff to work with our wonderful participants with developmental disabilities, physical, behavioral or other needs in a group home setting. We seek nurturing people who will provide care with respect and dignity as well as promote independence and community integration.




This home is looking for a manager to work with wonderful adults with developmental disabilities and significant physical needs. We seek nurturing people who will provide care with respect and dignity as well as promote independence and community integration..


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and Other duties may be assigned:



  • Participate as a member of the Quality Assurance Team for Outcomes Measures


  • Ensures that the home is in compliance with all applicable licensing regulations (DDS, Health Inspection, Fire Marshall, ICF (if applicable) etc.


  • Ensures that the home/vehicle/s and agency equipment is kept clean, safe and in good working order including monthly vehicle checks and completes all follow-up if there are any issues. Ensures that the vehicle insurance card and registration is current and in the vehicle.


  • Ensures that program participants are receiving all services as identified on their service plan.


  • On-call duties for Marrakech residences as per schedule.


  • Follows the policies and procedures outlined in the Residential Policy Manual, and follows all other agency policies, procedures and protocols.


  • Provides supervision to the Assistant Manager/Supervisor and all direct care staff.


  • Receives supervision from the Program Director of Residential Services


  • Meets with the Marrakech Management Team including the Director, Vice President, Behaviorist and Nursing regularly to discuss residential issues in the home.


  • Ensures that all staff receives required training as specified by the Residential Procedures and as determined.


  • Ensures individual finances/bank accounts and petty cash monies are properly maintained. This includes receipts and other documentation.


  • Ensures the completion of all routine in-house reporting requirements including Outcome Measures, Facility Checklist and the Infection Control Checklist.


  • Completes all habilitation reviews/reports in a timely fashion and submits the completed reports to the Program Director


  • Develops, implements and ensures staff implementation of individual teaching strategies and programs utilizing the PST process


  • Develop and modifies Critical Information/Therap Individual Data Form as needed and ensures they are followed 100% of the time.


  • Coordinates and runs all PST meetings, including timely notices of meetings to all parties.


  • Ensures that all information is available to be presented at individual PST meetings.


  • Ensures that all admissions, transfers, and discharge records are kept in accordance with DDS and/or ICF regulations (if applicable)


  • Teaches four hours of inservices per month


  • Participates in the hiring process including 2nd interviews, individual site visits, and interviews external and internal applicants as required


  • Completes all provisional and annual staff evaluations


  • Coordinates all resident discharges and transfers


  • Ensures that all new staff are thoroughly orientated to the home, complete a shadowing, attends regularly scheduled staff meetings, and complete all required inservice training.


  • Provides ongoing supervision, training, and support to all staff as needed


  • Evaluates referrals to the home by following referral process and reporting results to the Vice President of Residential Services


  • Maintains physical plant upkeep and reports issues to the Director of Operations


  • Works with Client Funds to ensure that individuals are receiving entitlements (i.e. SSI, Medicaid, DSS Subsidy, Rent Subsidy etc.)


  • Completes regular site spot checks at responsible sites at times supervisory staff not present. Reports findings and corrects noted issues. Spot checks other agency sites as assigned.


  • Committee member on at least 2 committees, (i.e. Quality Assurance Committee, Training Committee, Staff Recognition Committee, Safety Committee).


  • Ensures that the staffing patterns stay within the required level based on Critical Information/Therap Individual Data Form and the financial parameters of the program


  • Implements program daily schedules including daily living skills and community recreation


  • Ensures that program participants are receiving all services as identified on their service plan


  • Responds to all agency on-call pages immediately, appropriately and per policy


  • Follows the policies and procedures outlined in the Marrakech, Inc. policy manuals, and follows all other agency policies, procedures, and protocols


  • Maintains individual records (i.e. case record book, medical book) according to policy. This includes ensuring all reports are present and the demographic sheet updated annually or if any changes occur during the year


  • Evaluates and coordinates ongoing training needs of staff in the residential program


  • Ensures that incidents are reported per policy using Therap as well as submitting within 24 hours.


  • Ensures the accurate and timely completion of individual assessments


  • Maintains positive contact with individual individuals, parents, guardians, vocational programs, physicians, funding sources and therapists on an ongoing basis


  • Ensures that the medical/emotional needs of the individuals are being met by coordinating medication administration, medical appointments, and meaningful recreation and leisure activities


  • Ensures appropriate nutrition is provided to individuals including all aspects of food shopping, meal preparation, follows eating procedures and nutritional guidelines


  • Attends staff meetings and required inservice training


  • Obtain and maintain medication certification and other certifications required for position


  • Implements PMT, CPR and First Aid as required


  • Models positive adult roles in the community


  • Fosters community belonging through person-centered appropriate activities


  • Serves all customers with alacrity


  • Operates motor vehicles safely and in accordance with State Law (agency and personal automobiles) while on work related duties. Required to drive own vehicle for work.


  • Reports unsafe conditions and situations immediately per agency policy and procedures


  • Represents the values, mission and vision of the organization


  • Communicates with co-workers and other providers accurately and professionally


  • Reviews and responds to voicemails and emails throughout the day.


  • Ensures the accurate completion of all timecards for staff and substitute staff


  • Schedules staff without using overtime hours. Obtains approval for any overtime hours at program site before it is worked.
